FAQ

When I juice carrots, beet root, or other highly colored vegetables, the inside of the juicer gets discolored. Is there a way to remove these stains?

Yes. When you have completed juicing, there is an accumulation of pulp that you would normally compost or discard.

With the juicer on, run some of this pulp through the unit, alternating with white table sugar, until you have used about a cup of sugar. This polishes the twin gears and removes the stains. Then, turn the unit off and proceed with cleaning as usual.

There are also a few things to keep in mind.

A. Do not use chlorine bleach on the Twin Gear. The ends of the gears are nylon, which chlorine attacks chemically.
B. Vegetable stains are on the inside of the machine where no one sees them.
C. Vegetable stains are harmless, chemical residues are not. Therefore, using chemical cleaners is not advisable.
